Summer is here and it’s nice to bring the sunshine into the home with pretty floral picture frames to new cushion covers and curtains.  But there is another area to think about, which isn’t as much fun except it does require attention, especially with those balmy nights creating havoc with our body temperatures in bed.

Mattresses have a lot of work to do in the summer by helping our bodies keep cool and comfortable but where does the moisture go and how do you keep your mattress at its best?  One of the key things is to make sure you turn your mattress regularly, as with all the shuffling about it helps to distribute wear and tear evenly.  You can buy mattress sprays and these sprays will freshen your bed and help to keep it hygienic.  You also need to try and leave you mattress uncovered for a while to let it breath and don’t forget to vacuum your mattress as this will also help keep it fresh.

It may not be glamorous but it will definitely help towards keeping your bedroom ‘spick an span’ in the summer heat.
